George Lynn Cowart Sr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday the 20th of October. He was a native of Atlanta and later moved to Marietta. He was a home builder in Atlanta and in his retirement loved working as a school bus driver for the Cobb County school system.
Mr. Cowart is survived by his wife Annette Dixon Cowart and four children Jan (Larry), George Jr. (Doug), Pam Graves (Tony), and Joe Cowart, his brothers John (Judy), and Phillip (Anime) , 5 grand children and 6 great grand children.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, 2968 East Point St., East Point, GA. 30344. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm the day of the service.
