Mrs. Dorothy Frances Foster Lloyd

Frances Foster Lloyd, age 88, of College Park, passed away Feb. 23, 2011. She was born Dec. 5, 1922. Mrs Lloyd retired from WSB Radio and Television as a receptionist. She attended Wesleyan College and graduated from the University of Georgia. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and Zeta Phi Eta, Honorary Speech fraternity. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of College Park 1st United Methodist Church, a Bible leader for 20 plus years, Sunday School Teacher, past President of the United Methodist Women, and the David Hambrick Class. She served as Lay Leader and Council of Ministries at C. P. Methodist, Past Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the Historic College Park Neighborhood Association. Surviving are sons; Roy Douglas Lloyd and wife Martia, Stone Mountain, Ga, Stanton Foster Lloyd and wife JoAnn, Clermont, GA, grandchildren; Jennifer and Micah Hoyt, Beth Lloyd, Stephen and Holly Lloyd, Andrew Lloyd, Joe Lloyd, 4 great grandchildren, sister; Nell Foster Morris. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at 2:00pm at College Park 1st United Methodist Church. Interment College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to College Park 1st United Methodist Church.
