It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilma "Sue" Rae Miller, who was called to eternal rest on May 29, 2023. Born on September 27, 1941, Sue touched the lives of many through her grace, generosity, and captivating spirit.
Although she preferred to be called Sue, Wilma was known by many as compassionate, warm, and courageous with a touch of sass. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, honorary grandmother, and friend to countless individuals, with a legacy of kindness and inclusivity to everyone she met.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Miller Sr and siblings, Kitty, Raymond, Melvin, Tommy, Carol, Harold, and Larry. She is survived by her sisters, Opal, Mary, Emma, Lola and Peggy, brothers, John and Ernest and loving children, Cindy (David) Foust, Herschel (Kim) Miller, Edward Miller Jr., Jerry (Missy) Miller, Dedria (Alan) Galik, and Patricia (Tom) Hartman, as well as her 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was a proud grandmother and took immense joy in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sports and activities.
Sue was an avid fan of music legends such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Randy Travis. She enthusiastically supported her beloved Chicago Cubs and cherished moments spent playing poker and rummy with her family and friends. Sue found solace in her favorite recreational activities, including fishing, and spending precious time with her beloved cat, Mac.
Throughout her life, Wilma imparted invaluable lessons to those around her.
"Tomorrow is not promised, live for today" is a sentiment she carried with her and shared with others. Her enduring spirit and resilience will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
