He was born Jan. 7, 1927 in Harmony Township, Hancock County, IL to John and Pearl (Knight) Curry. He married Frances Berry on July 3, 1947 in Peoria and she passed away Feb. 17, 2004 in East Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lynn Schildman, one sister, Marjorie Curry, and a close companion, Nina Barnhart.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry (Bob Woodson) Duncan of St Peters, MO, two grandchildren: Wendy (Mike Guentzel) Hutt of Washington, Kelly (Anthony) Taft of East Peoria, and two great-grandchildren: Ashton and Alexander Taft both of East Peoria.
Bill was a WWII Army veteran. Following his time in the military, he worked for Caterpillar, Inc. as a Cost Accountant for 34 years retiring in Jan. 1983. He also bowled on the Caterpillar Accounting Bowling League for over 40 years.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery with his wife Frances at a later date.
