Tammy Jo Gilles

Born February 26, 1966 in Peoria to Richard and Linda (Snyder) Wilson; she married Ralph Gilles on March 27, 2004 in Tennessee.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph Gilles; mother, Linda Wilson; children, Lacey (Phil) Greer and Jordan Jones; step-sons, Jesse (Danielle) Gilles and Zachary Corley; grandchildren, Parker Jones, Dakota Greer and Bentley Jones; sisters, Teri (Guy) Goodspeed and Tonya (Mac) Clements; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her father; brother, Richard Wilson; and nephew, Thomas Goodspeed.

Tammy had worked as a housekeeper at Snyder village in Metamora, IL and at Kroger in East Peoria, IL. She also worked at the family businesses of TJ’s Laundromat and Dick’s Dairy Delight.

Tammy enjoyed riding motorcycles, tending her flower garden, auto racing and cooking. The family would rave over her improvised meals and she would humbly refer to it as being “just a throw-together.”

More than anything, Tammy loved her family, cherishing time spent with her children and grandchildren. She gave of herself freely to nurture and support them.

Tammy’s love and life will be celebrated from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Casual attire is suggested. Private inurnment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria.
