Shirley Y. Weber

She was born July 29, 1926 in Peoria to Elmer and Lucille (Lubitz) Alberts. She married Edward Weber Aug. 11, 1944 in Chicago. He survives along with two sons: Gary Weber of Benton, David Weber of East Peoria, one grandson, Tim (Ashley) Weber of Johnson City, IL, and two great-granddaughters: Madison and Bailey Weber of Johnson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, John Alberts.

From 1970 until 1984 Shirley worked for Appliance Distributers in Peoria then Federal Warehouse in East Peoria.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Visitation will be Sunday Oct. 7, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Funeral services will be Monday Oct. 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp.
