He was born October 27, 1956 in Peoria to the late Curtis and Phyllis (Schwinn) Rose. He married Janetta Gilmore July 15, 2006, and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2018.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Christina (Kevin) Klein; grandson, Fox Millikin; brother, Garry (Rhonda) Rose; niece, Michelle (Kyle) Foskett; nephew, Matt (Erica Sellers) Rose; grandniece, Kinslee Rose; and cat, Buddy.
Bob was a dedicated member of Carpenter’s Local Union 237 for over 40 years. He belonged to the Elks Lodge, and Wilmore Sportsman Club. He never met a stranger, and ran into people he knew wherever he went. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, camping, and most importantly, spending time with his family, and friends.
Cremation has been accorded. A Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fox’s College Fund.
