Robert G. Cavitt

Born March 22, 1916 in Vienna, IL to Arthur and Noma (Watson) Cavitt. He married Mary L. Griffion in Cape Girardeau, MO on June 23, 1940. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2010. He was also preceded in death by 1 son, James; 2 great grandsons; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Surviving are his son, William; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jesse, Johnny; one sister, Bonnie; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert worked as a plumber/pipe fitter for Joliet Local 422 before retiring. He was in the C.C.C. in the 1930’s and 40’s.

Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from Noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the family at the Regions Bank in East Peoria.
