Richard P Schneider Sr

He was born July 10, 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa to Felix and Daisy Schneider. He married Joan Adams Sep. 13, 1958 in Peoria. She survives along with two daughters: Rhonda Schneider of Peoria Heights, Brenda (Mark) Bury of Peoria, three sons: Richard "Rich" (Mary) Schneider, Jr. of Chillicothe, Eddie Schneider of Peoria Heights, Mark Schneider of Peoria Heights, eight grandchildren, four great-grandsons, two step-sisters, and one step-brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Galen Schneider.

Dick was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters for over twenty years. He then was the Maintenance Supervisor at Manor Care in Peoria for twenty-one years retiring in 2004.

He was a member of the Izaak Walton League and the Farmington Sportsman Club.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be at Remmert Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
