She was born to Herschel and Anna (Roberts) Blair on March 9, 1952 in Richlands, VA. She married Terry Stanton on May 5, 1973 and they celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing on October 3, 2015.
Pat is survived by her children, Jeff (Angela) Stanton of Washington and Wendy Stanton of Brimfield; sisters, Kay Olsen of Chillicothe and Fay (Bob) Chave of Washington; grandchildren, River, Taylor, and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Penelope; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Terry, and twin sisters Johnnie and Judy.
Pat enjoyed crocheting in her free time and made blankets for everyone she knew and also donated her blankets to hospice patients. She made sure her family always had everything they needed and she was the best Gigi to her grandchildren. She was the “Candy Lady” and they could count on her having pieces of candy for them in her pocket. Pat was a funny woman and always had a joke to tell. She never met a stranger and enjoyed connecting with everyone she met. She had two biological children, and dozens more that knew her as “mom.”
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Rev. Bob DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Cottonwood Cemetery in Hanna City.
