She was born on November 23, 1949, in Anna, IL, to Leon and Ethel (Smith) Sharp. She married Melvin Marold on August 24, 1968, in Peoria.
Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, Melvin; son, Lamont (Tammy) Marold; daughters, Andrea (Josh) Childs, and Erica (Alan) Grandy; grandchildren, Ethan Grandy, Graeson Childs, Jack Grandy, Zach Harrison, and Brody Harrison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Parnell; and her best-friend of sixty years, Linda Norvel.
Pat was retired from Caterpillar, having worked in Medical Benefits. She loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren, and shopping. She enjoyed her Pepsi’s, and playing the lottery. In her youth, she enjoyed playing volleyball at the East Peoria Park District with her girlfriends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11 AM, at Remmert Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the funeral service. Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
