Michael George Wallen

Michael married Cindy Candler on April 15, 1978 in Bellflower, IL. She survives along with their children, Samuel George Wallen, Andrew Michael (Megan) Wallen, and Carah Michelle (Arin) Haven; granddaughters, Jayda Grace Haven, Amia Michelle Haven, and Clara Rose Wallen; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David L. Wallen.

Michael was a self-employed and gifted carpenter who served the Lord and led his family in faith. He loved his Lord and Savior and pointed others to Him as he stood on God’s Word. He enjoyed camping, canoe trips and nature walks with his family, he loved trees, the laughter and jubilation of children, and especially, good food and coffee.

A private graveside service will be held at Zion Cemetery on Cole Hollow Road with Arin Haven officiating. A virtual Celebration of Mikey’s Life, all are welcome to join, will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 12PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wallen family to assist with Michael’s final expenses.
