Marjorie Faye Chandler

She was born July 31, 1916 in Mount Sterling, the daughter of Ray and Bertha Grady Flynn. She married Russell Hamilton. She later married Leland H Chandler on January 31, 1958. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1993.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Marlene (Dan) Corray of Washington; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Gary and Wayne Hamilton; and one daughter, Sharon Ballard.

Marjorie was a life-time member and past corresponding secretary of the Caterpillar Retirees Club. She was also a member of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Clover Leaf of East Peoria # 1002, and Celestial City of Pekin # 333. She was proud to have been the organist for several of these groups.

She was in the Accounts Division of Caterpillar until her retirement in 1974.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11am at Remmert Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Dan Doty will officiate.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
