Lorraine E. Carr

She was born Oct. 31, 1925 in Mackinaw to Emil and Bertha (Max) Miller. She married Gerald Carr June 25, 1950 in Mackinaw. He passed away June 4, 1989 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Miller.

Survivors include one son, Michael (Sindy) Carr of Sarasota, FL, one granddaughter, Kelly Carr of Chicago, and one brother, Paul (Frances) Miller of Mackinaw.

Lorraine was an amazing cook, gardener, winemaker and friend to all animals. She had an amazing passion for life and was rarely seen without a smile on her face. She lived life to the fullest until the very end.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be Wednesday June 25, 2014 at 12 Noon at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria at a later date.
