Linda J. Swords, 69, of East Peoria, passed away at 1:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born April 17, 1944 in Peoria to Ralph and Pauline (Smith) Metz. She married Richard Swords on Sept. 29, 1963. He survives.
Also surviving are 3 children, Julie (Russell) Thames, Paula Rogers, Daniel Swords; 6 grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ron Metz.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Rev. Gerald Swords officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
