He was born Aug. 23, 1947 in Peoria to Floyd and Margaret (McMullen) Moreland. He married Marie (Koury) Pritchard on March 6, 1993 in East Peoria. She survives along with six children: Kathy (Lori) Moreland of Apex, N.C., Brian (Becky) Moreland of Cary, N.C., Cindy (Jason) Pettit of Washington, Katie (Jason) Blackwell of Washington, Dan (Laura) Pritchard of Washington, Tim Pritchard of Washington, 14 grandchildren, and two brothers: Floyd (Judy) Moreland, JR of Sachse, TX., and Rick (Lisa) Moreland of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Scott Moreland.
Larry was a Supervisor for Delta Airlines retiring Sep. 1, 2014.
Larry was never without a smile. He had a kind word and a helping hand for everyone. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Larry’s life will be Saturday, Sep. 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
