I still remember the time that we went to a movie, and after we came out, you realized that you had locked the keys in the car. You had to break through a hole in the floorboard to unlock the back door and as we going back to my house, we were followed by the police for several blocks, who then pulled us over.

John was always such a good guy to know at work, always helpful and cheerful!  You guys were our best neighbors too, even when Bethany threw he shoe at me, LOL!  I am glad I got to see John at work when the kids and I visited on Family day and see Bethany all grown up!  I was shocked and saddened to hear or his passing.  Debbie, you and the kids have my prayers!  Your old neighbors,

The world is a smaller place without John.  I only knew him through work, but he did make a positive impact on my life.  I always knew that I could count on him whenever I needed anything, and he taught me quite a bit when I started working at Cat over 8 years ago.  You will be missed, John.

I only had a chance to speak with Mike about four times. I met Mike through his Uncle Tom. The one thing that impressed me the most is how he expressed his love for his wife and the love for his daughter in his actions. Gave Tom comfort to know that he will see him again with his Lord and Savior. Praying for his wife and daughter.

John was such a great guy.  I worked with him at AC.  He was my technician and one of my Safety Zone Leaders.  I will miss him dearly. He had a wonderful heart and a kind soul.  He used to bring me a home cooked meal at least once a month because he knew I rarely cooked.  It would be my dinner for the night.  I will never forget you john....I love you as a brother.  May you rest you peace.  As Dawn said, it's never going to be the same without you.  I'm going to miss your smile and you stopping by my desk every day at 2pm to cheer me up as you made your rounds.  My condolences to the family.... Stay strong.

I'm truly humbled and saddened by John's unexpected passing.  He was a great Christian friend at work, always focused on his family.  He was always very thankfull of his blessings and optimistic, even after his broken foot recently.   I've worked with him for about 8 years on and off at Caterpillar, and have never known a man that I liked as much.  My condolences to his wife and child at this difficult time.  I will miss him deeply.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about John's sudden passing. John's perpetual ear to ear smile is what I will remember most about him. He was always willing to offer a hand and give advice. You could not help but be in a good mood if John was in the room. John and his family are my thoughts and prayers.

God has called home one of His dear Angels, John Stein, I am so grateful and privileged to have worked with him for many wonderful years. He has always greeted me with a smile and he has always entered the workplace with the presence of God in him and he spoke with grace and peace in that order. So grateful I had the privilege to meet John, such a great guy! He will definitely be missed everywhere especially greeting people on Sunday mornings in RockChurch's parking lot. Praying for the family!

I am really sorry for your loss.  We didn't know him very well, but Mike was the 1st person we saw when we drove in to Rock Church on Sunday mornings and we missed not see him there this past weekend.  He's parking chariots now...  Praying for comfort for you and your family

I hadn't spoken to Mike (as I knew him) in several years, but it doesn't lessen the sting of his passing. Condolences to his entire family.

Very shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing.  I shared a lab space with John for many years and he was the gentle guardian of the lab.  Always willing to lend a hand and always ready to share a laugh.  A great guy through and through. He will be sorely missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing, I worked with John during his tenure at Belcan Engineering, and my memories of John was that  he was always happy, cheerful and a devoted family man. He will be missed my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

John was one of my very favorite people at work. I always enjoyed collaborating with him to come up with the best designs for lab work. In the process we talked about everything from work, music, family, life, and God. I miss him already. At least I have the comfort that he believed in Jesus and I will see him again someday. Work is still going to be hard without him and I cannot imagine for his family. I have been praying for God's comfort for you guys every time I think of John, and I will continue to do so.

MIKE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON  IM SO HAPPY TO HAVE  KNOWN  HIM MAY HE REST IN THE ARMS OF OUR LORD AS HE SERVED HIM FAITHFULLY...

I only knew John for a few years, but I consider him a friend. I enjoyed reminiscing with John about drive-in theaters and rock-and-roll music. He will be greatly missed.

I'm saddened to hear of John's passing. Our paths crossed many times at Caterpillar, and he was always a hard worker and a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

John was a wonderful person to work with. I remember his passion for reading. He was always looking to learn and grow. He was of great help to the younger engineers. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

"Mike" was the first person to welcome us to Rock Church.  We looked forward to visiting with him every Sunday.  He was always SO positive and had a kind word.  He will be missed by so many. We are praying for his family.
