James Roy Dishman Jr.

He was born Aug. 11, 1964 in Peoria to James Roy and Carol Ann (Burke) Dishman, Sr. He married Amy Jenkins Aug. 19, 1989 in Bartonville. She survives along with two sons: James Roy “JD” Dishman, III, and Benjamin James Richard Dishman both at home, two sisters: Deborah (Kim) Chance of North Pekin, Carolyn (Michael) Dollison of East Peoria, three nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.

James graduated from East Peoria Community High School and worked at ADDWC in Eureka. He was a member of the East Peoria Jaycees, Illinois Jaycees State Board; he was an East Peoria Cub Scout Leader Pack 209, and a member of DeMolay.

Funeral services will be Saturday Feb. 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to ADDWC in Eureka or the American Kidney Foundation.
