East Peoria – Ida Bedinghaus Adams, 90, passed away into Jesus’s arms February 14, 2015. She was the beloved mother of her three children. She was an extraordinary woman of mental strength and fortitude in the face of many adversities she met head on in her life. She always “took the bull by the horns” and pushed through. Ida had a strong faith in God and his son, Jesus Christ. She was a woman that loved life and travel. She had a childlike happiness about life and moved forward with hope. She was an amazing woman and loved music and adored dancing the “Polka.” She worked many years in the Peoria County Courthouse and received many promotions before she retired at age 68.
Ida is survived by three children Shirley J. Hurley of Sheffield, IL, Robert Adams of Surprise, AZ, and Bonnie Gantt of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and one sister Ruth Alvarez of Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everal Alhaine Adams.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
