Frank Lee Ahten

Frank Lee Ahten, age 66, of East Peoria, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at 4:05 a.m. at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born April 7, 1951 in Peoria to Ernest and Leola (Davis) Ahten. He married Sandy Fessenden on June 16, 1973 in Peoria. She survives along with one son, Richard “Rick” (Beth) Ahten of Bartonville, one daughter, Marcia (Derek) Hathcock of Creve Coeur, five grandchildren: R.J. and Jack Ahten, Eliza Hathcock, Emma and Carmen Denler, and one sister, Karen (Mike) Stearns of Toluca, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Harold and Larry Ahten.

Frank first worked for Bemis Bag, Co, then later Caterpillar, and then retired in 2016 from G&D Integrated.

Frank loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Memorials may be made to the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
