Floyd W. Belcher, 71, of East Peoria, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born June 4, 1947 in Peoria to Floyd G. and Dorothy V (Walker) Belcher. He married Linda Mae Hill on October 2, 1965 in Creve Coeur.
Surviving are his wife Linda of East Peoria; three children, Jacky Lynn (Sam) Kent of East Peoria, Jeffrey William (Eva Marie) Belcher of Greenwood, S.C., and Brandy Nicole (Robert) Parn of Morton; five Grandchildren, Lauren Kent, Nathan Kent, Emma Kent, Macy Parn and Eli Parn; and eight siblings, Carol (Francis) Mehn, Michael (Brenda) Belcher, Linda (Steve) Allen, Ronald Belcher, Judy (John) Hultquist, Julia Lane, Sheryl (Wiley) Huggins and Lorrie (Mike) Robson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janice Cody.
Floyd worked as a Machine Repairman at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years before retiring in 2003 and was a member of the UAW Local 974. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, mowing his yard and playing World of War Craft. Floyd loved visiting family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren and going to their activities.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life will be at 6 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2108 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
