He was born on August 7, 1932 in Sikeston, MO to E.V. and Verna (Greer) Kenser. He married Patricia Cantrell, his wife of 26yrs, on September 12, 1988. She preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents, two sons, one daughter, five brothers, and five sisters.
Surviving are five sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Earl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked in the Heat Treat department at Caterpillar Inc. for over 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the East Peoria VFW Post 2078 and a past Post Commander of Creve Coeur VFW Post 4835. Earl enjoyed gardening, serving with the VFW Posts and he loved his cats.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 6, 2023, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial will follow the service at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
