Dora Dean Beard

Dora Dean Beard, age 89, of Peoria, formerly of Louisville, KY, and currently at Riverview Senior Living Center in East Peoria, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at 8:29 a.m. at Unity Point Proctor in Peoria.

She was born Dec, 21, 1926 in Peoria to Leo and Marguarite (Kind) Dudley. She first married Raymond Hurley and after his passing she married David Beard. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three brothers: William, Leo, and Ira Dudley, and one sister, Leona Galbreath.

Survivors include five nephews: Charles (Deborah) Galbreath of East Peoria, Robert (Karen) Galbreath of Cave Creek, AZ, Bruce (Cindy) Dudley of Sparland, Mike (Kathy) Dudley of Bartonville, Chuck (Jody) Dudley of Tremont, two nieces: Sandra (Tom) Hannon of Phoenix, AZ, Jan Dudley of Pekin, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Dora Dean along with her first husband, Raymond, owned and operated a Dental Lab in Peoria Heights for many years.

She was a loving aunt and a devout Catholic.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 13, 2016 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.

Private burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
