Donald V. Addis

Donald was born June 19, 1921 in Peoria, to Walter and Lora (Crawford) Addis. He graduated from Manual High School. He married Kathleen Tott on May 23, 1943 at Camp Funston, Ft. Riley in Kansas. She preceded him in death, along with his Parents.

He is survived by his sons; David Addis of East Peoria, Walter (Gloria) Addis of East Peoria, Grandchildren; Jim (Jennifer) Addis of Bartonville, William Lee (Darcie) Addis of Round Lake Beach, Daniel Joseph (Shana) Addis of Peoria, and six great grandchildren.

Donald served in the US Army during World War II as a Clerk.

He was an accountant for Peoria & Pekin Union Railroad, and retired from there in 1986. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where he served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher. Donald belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He loved to fish, golf and bowl.

Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday August 29, 2014 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church.
