David W. Brooks, 66 of East Peoria Il, passed away June 25,2024, at OSF St. Francis Hospital. David was preceded in death by his Father Les Brooks, Step-Father Walt “Bud” Wenger and Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.
David is survived by his Mother Judy Wenger, Washington Il, Step-Mother, JoAnn Brooks, Ocala, FL, Brother Jeff (Nancy) Brooks, East Peoria, IL, Sisters Vicki (Scott) Eichelkraut, Fort Worth TX, Leslie Brooks, Washington IL, Mary (Jon) Cowell, East Peoria, IL, Step-Brother, Perry Brooks, Ocala, FL, in addition to several Nieces and Nephews.
David graduated from EPCHS in 1975. He was employed by Parsons Company starting in 2001, retiring in October 2023.
David loved and was loved by his family and friends. Music was a big part of his life. Both playing his bass and listening to his album collection. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
David lived his life to the fullest every day and will be greatly missed by all.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, 10:00 am at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, IL with services to follow at 11:00 am. Rev Krista Price will officiate.
