Cree Dax Lane Van Winsen

Cree Dax Lane Van Winsen, 3 months of age, from Washington, IL. Passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on October 9, 2021 in Peoria, a son of Zachary David Van Winsen and Edna M. Lane. They survive.

Cree is also survived by his big sister Hope Van Winsen of Omaha, NE and Jett Lane also of Washington; many grandparents; many uncles and aunts ; many cousins.

Cree was a very happy, loving, sweet baby boy. Cree loved his family very much and put a smile on anyone's face who met him, he had such beautiful long reddish/brown hair and big bright blue eyes that everyone fell in love with when they met him. Cree had the sweetest of coo’s and most precious dimples when he smiled. Cree enjoyed watching Riverman hockey games, and his daddy playing hockey on Xbox, or watching it on TV. Cree was a fan of getting his hair washed and combed from his mommy and playing on his play mat with his brother Jett.

Cree’s memorial visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. His family has asked everyone who is able to come, please wear your hockey jersey or hockey team clothing in honor of Cree’s love for the game of hockey. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
