Cleatus E. Crawford

Cleatus was born on November 22, 1950 in Peoria to Cleatus E. and Margaret (Blair) Crawford, Sr. He married Linda Thacker on July 20, 1974 in Ottawa, IL.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Linda; his daughter, Renee (Steve) Crawford-Spradlin of Metamora, IL; two granddaughters, Alexis and Ava Spradlin; two sisters, Niomi (Dave) Hoffman of Texas and Pat (Mark) Menees of Creve Coeur, IL; and one brother, Thomas (Diane) Casley of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Paul.

Cleatus worked as a Foreman for Central Illinois Produce for over 20 years and prior to that had worked at Schmidt Brothers Produce for 20 years. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge for 25 years.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made through www.remmertfuneralhome.com
