Brett Allen Smith

He was born on May 1, 1987 in Peoria, IL to Steven and Rhonda (Crafton) Smith.

He is survived by his parents, Rhonda (Michael) Marks of Rochelle, IL and Steve Smith Jr. of East Peoria; his two children, Chloe and Kaden Smith of Washington, the mother of his children, Tiffany Coy of Washington; two siblings, Rachel (Stephen) Moore of Aubrey, TX and Justin Marks of Nashville, TN. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Mary (Dale) Schroeder of Litchfield Park, AZ and Edward (Nancy Baxter) Crafton of Fernley, NV, paternal grandmother, Sandra Smith of East Peoria; three nieces, Avery, Audrey, and Alyse Johnson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousin.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Steven Smith Sr.

Brett graduated from East Peoria High School and received his HVAC Certification through M.T.I. He worked as an HVAC Technician with Tiger Home Services and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, dirt bikes, camping, hiking and barbequing with family and friends. He was a force of nature, full of love, life and laughter. A loving son, brother, father and friend. No matter who you were, he always made you feel the most important. He made sure you always felt loved, cared for, and that you mattered. He had a heart so full of love and was never afraid to give it. So, it's no surprise that he wanted to give through organ donation, and through his gift he can continue living through others.

Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from noon until close at The Peak in Washington. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
