She was born in Peoria on August 1, 1941 to William and Katherine (Lawson) Bryan. She married Ernie Rech on May 18, 1979 in Pekin, he preceded her in death on May 27, 2021.
Betty is also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Arthur Lovell; sister, Carmen Hall; two grandchildren, Zachary and Samantha Lovell; one great-granddaughter; one nephew; seven great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces and nephews.
Betty found joy in sewing, knitting, and crocheting. An avid bowler, she cherished the years spent on the lanes with her friends.
Together with her husband, Ernie, Betty enjoyed adventurous motorcycle vacations across the contiguous United States and Canada, reveling in the beauty of the open road. After they hung up their helmets, they shifted gears to fishing, spending tranquil days by the water, where laughter and love flourished.
Betty was not just a devoted wife and homemaker; she was a true friend to many. Her warmth, compassion, and generous spirit enriched the lives of those around her.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Dayspring Native American United Methodist Church, East Peoria.
