Barney was born on January 20, 1942 to Fred and Marldene (Snyder) Grisham in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He married Rosalie Parry on December 11, 1960 in Peoria. She survives, along with his favorite dog, Buddy.
Also surviving are his sons, Mark (Kim) Grisham of Creve Coeur, and Terry (Tricia) Grisham of Morton; his daughter-in-law, Michelle Grisham of Creve Coeur; his siblings, Joyce Barnett of Peoria, and Patrick (Jane) Grisham of Eureka; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Chris Grisham.
Barney worked for several places including Caterpillar where he retired in 1994, and Fondulac Park District, where he retired in 2016.
He loved fishing, going to NHRA drag races with his family, and he was a die hard Cardinal fan.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 2:00pm at Remmert Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sam's Animal Shelter in Hanna City.
