Arthur U. Davis Jr.

He was born November 14, 1949 in Peoria the son of Arthur and Lorraine Schrader Davis Sr. He married Peggy Wickert on January 23, 1971. She preceded him in death on December 1, 1994. He later married Sandra “Darlene” Deweese on January 4, 1997.

Arthur is survived by his wife of twenty years; his parents; his children, Jason (Julie) Davis of Benson, Jody Davis of Metamora and Justin (Leyna) Davis of Hobart, IN; five grandchildren; one step-daughter, Jodi Parod of Washington; one step-son, Matthew Parod of Washington; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandsons; and one sister, Susan Davis of East Peoria.

He is also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Arthur worked as a meat cutter at Kroger until his retirement.

He was an Air Force Veteran.

He was an avid St Louis Cardinal and Green Bay Packers Fan.

Arthur loved to fish but most of all he loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Remmert Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to services. Rev Joseph Weyer will officiate.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
