Regina (Gina) Ruesch Dale passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2022, at the age of 71. Gina was born in Sun Valley, Idaho on August 22, 1950. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lovinna Matheson Osborn, her step-father Herbert Bradley Osborn, and her father, Howard Crawford Ruesch. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Bruce Edwin Dale. She is missed and lovingly remembered by her siblings Rehe and Tina, her children Brian, Rachel, Rebecca, Marie, and Esther, as well as 21 grandchildren.
Gina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Arizona in 1972. During that time, she met, fell in love with, and married the love of her life; Bruce. Theirs is a love for the ages, and in 1973, they were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After completing the coursework for a Masters Degree in Human Nutrition, Gina decided to step away from academia and a professional career in favor of a life focused on family and faith. She embraced life as a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker, and was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As an exceptional pianist and organist, Gina shared her deep love for music as a piano teacher and would teach anyone who wanted to play at no cost. For years she served in the music ministry of her faith by teaching Gospel-centered songs to the children of the Primary. In addition to teaching other people’s children, Gina accompanied her own kids on the piano in musical numbers for church as well as collegiate recitals and performances.
In addition to being a skilled performer, and a generous teacher, Gina was a silent benefactor and patron of the arts. She funded other people’s art, piano, voice, and organ lessons. She has commissioned work from lesser-known composers and artists.
Gina was gifted with exceptional attention to detail and was herself an artist who specialized in needle work, sewing, quilting, photography, and Zentangle. Her beloved Bruce supported all her artistic talent and endeavors, indeed, their home is filled with beautiful pieces created by Gina.
Gina’s life revolved around her family and her devotion to her Lord. She served for four years as an at-home missionary for the Church’s FamilySearch program – the world’s largest resource for free family history information. Gina took this expertise with her when she and Bruce served a full-time mission together in Salt Lake City. She spent a year creating over 50 beautiful, educational presentations to help teach and guide fellow missionaries how to use the program successfully to bless the lives of other people.
No one can take the place of this amazing woman who was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and Grandma. Although Gina’s mortal journey has ended, and while her body has died, her faithful, beautiful, immortal spirit lives on. Undiminished by death, her spirit will rejoin a perfected and glorified body in the resurrection made possible by our Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, whom Gina loved and served with all her heart, might, mind, and strength.
Visitation for Gina will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 431 E Saginaw St, East Lansing, MI 48823 from 9:00am-10:00am. Funeral services will follow beginning at 10:00am. Graveside service will also follow the services at Leek Cemetery, Mason, MI.
