Rachel Leanne Loachridge

On June 4, 2022, Rachel Leanne Loachridge of East Lansing, MI, passed away surrounded by her loving family at the young age of 47. Rachel was born on February 18, 1975, in Lansing, MI, to her loving parents Dennis and Sue Geisenhaver.

She was a graduate of Perry Baptist High School class of 1993; she would go on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Pensacola Christian College, and shortly after she married the love of her life, William L. Loachridge on October 16, 2004 and together they started their family.

Rachel worked as a secretary at her family business, Thee Electric Company. She was well known for her strong faith. She served as chairman of the deaconess board and an active member in her congregation at Lake Lansing Baptist Church. Rachel would teach Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, AWANA, and as a childrens leader with Women’s Bible Study Fellowship. Always steadfast on educating children about the word of God. She loved interior design and had a passion for music. Rachel’s biggest passion in life was instilling her own love of God to her children, always loving, guiding and teaching them in any way that she could to be the best parent and wife she could be.

Rachel is survived by her loving husband, of 17 years, William L. “Bill” Loachridge, her wonderful children; William, Ashleigh, and Collin Loachridge, her parents; Dennis and Sue Geisenhaver, her sister; Tamara Jo (John) Kirk, her brother; Aaron (Becky) Geisenhaver; and many other loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her infant son Alex Lee Loachridge, and her grandparents.

Funeral Service will occur Friday, June 10, 2022, at 11AM, at New Hope Church 2170 E. Saginaw Hwy, East Lansing, MI 48823 with visitation starting one hour prior to services. A visitation for Rachel will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes – East Lansing Chapel.
