Okemos, MI: October 11, 2019 Pat passed peacefully with family at her side. She was born to William R and Wanda (Cupp) Titus in St Paul Minnesota. Shortly after, the family moved to Grand Rapids Michigan, where she grew up on the North side of town, graduating from Creston High and Grand Rapids Junior College. She met the love of her life, Robert Carrier, through her brother, and they were married in 1952. They started a family and moved to Fenton, MI where the children went to school and Pat was involved in Kiwanis, church, and other community activities during the school year. Every summer, she packed up the kids and moved to the cottage on the shores of Lake Michigan, where she was a sole parent on the weekdays, until Dad drove over on Friday night and then left early Monday to return to work. She was a model Mom, teaching all three kids how to do all the activities necessary for making a life of their own. She instilled a strong work ethic, and a love of education, as well as a strong sense of right and wrong. She was a master seamstress, and was very handy with most any job around the house, sometimes even showing up her engineer husband. Pat was also devoted to the family dogs, and shared a love of music with Bob and all three children.
Pat is survived by her children, Randall, Roberta (Mike Byrne) and Ronald (Pam), grandchildren Christopher (Jesse Slocum) Carrier, Ryan (Jordan) Carrier, and Patrick Carrier, nephew, Douglas Titus, and niece Sally (Shawn) Benner as well as her lifelong friends Meriem and Roy Elwell of Holland, MI.
The family wishes to express special thanks to those who took such good care of Pat through her last years, especially the staff of Bickford of Okemos, The Care Team Hospice, Pastors Rob and Alice Townley of Presbyterian Church of Okemos, and her friends Ann Gailey, and Fred Rupert.
