Michael Alexander Wilson, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 23, 2021. “Mikey” was born in Lansing, MI on February 21,1966 to Wanda L. Wilson (Miller) and James F. Wilson, joining his brother Chris and with John coming soon after.
He was a lifelong resident of Bath Township, graduating from Bath High School in 1984. Mike attended Lansing Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and completed the Mid-Michigan Police Academy training. Mike was hired as an officer for the Bath Township Police Department and served the Bath Community for 25 years. He was also a long time member of Clinton County’s Special Operations Team.
Mike’s passion for public service was only second to his love for family. He married the love of his life, Jennifer (Warner) in 1993. During their 27 years of Marriage, they raised a family of three sons, Sean, Connor and Jacob. Mike cherished his time with his family, sharing his love of music and outdoor sports.
Mike’s life will be forever cherished by family and the many friendships forged over his 55 years. Mike is survived by his wife Jennifer, children Sean, Connor and Jacob, brothers Chris (Amy) and John, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fellow law enforcement officers. Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents and parents James and Wanda Wilson.
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, May 27th from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Ascension Lutheran Church in East Lansing, MI. Funeral services will be at the church on Friday, May 28th at 12pm. Internment immediately following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath, MI. A light lunch will be served after internment at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials go to Ascension Lutheran Church, Bath Township Police Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Services provided by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home of East Lansing.
