Matthew Eugene Costigan

Mr. Costigan was born on March 19, 1929 in Mineola, New York, to Matthew and May Costigan.

He earned his Bachelors degree from St. Johns University in 1950. He then continued his education by earning his MBA at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

In between earning his degrees, Mr. Costigan served his country as part of the United States Army earning the rank of Sergeant.

In 1959 Mr. Costigan opened his own Engineering firm, Omega, which allowed him to travel the world. He retired in 2009.

Mr. Costigan’s greatest love was his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, compassion, love of the outdoors, and his goodness.

Matthew is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Marie Costigan; two daughters, Christine (Mike) Snyder, and Katrina (Jason) Cohen; step-children, Cynthia Medick-Smith, Julia Medick, Matthew Medick (Kristine), John Medick, eight grand-children and two great-grand-children.
