Mary Elizabeth Seif

Haslett, Michigan

Born October 31, 1926 in Paris, Tennessee, to Mitchell and Josephine Hansel, died July 30, 2012 at the age of 85. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Donald; sister, Joy Kalush of Overland Park, KS and sister-in-law, Henrietta Hansel of Lansing. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mitchell Hansel, Jr. and brother-in-law, Fred Kalush.

Mary retired from Fisher Body where she worked in the business office. She was active in many golf and bowling leagues around the Lansing area. Her passion for animals was well known and she was a devoted “Mama” to Heidi her poodle for 19 years and foster-Mama to many others. Mary was the “All Time Champion” aunt to her many nieces and nephews who will miss her hugs and laughter. Through her last illness she remained the loving person we will all remember.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, at Noon, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. Interment will take place at Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
