

Mary Cecelia McCulloch passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Gordon and her parents, Stanley and Peggy (Mieczkowski). Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 24, 1944, she is survived by her two sons, Colin and Ian (Allison); four grandchildren, Heather, Cameron, Brendan and Gavin; three great grandchildren, Callen, Archie, and Mable; six siblings, John, Jean, Ann, Claire, Joan, and Norah; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary graduated from St. James High School in 1962 and Wayne State University with an Accounting (1981) and MBA (1989) degrees. She retired from Michigan State University after a 20-year career. Mary loved to spend her time quilting and gardening and actively took part in our local Lansing Garden Club and quilt guilds. Along with her hobbies, Mary’s main passion was travel. She shared her love of travel with her grandchildren. She generously took each of them on their first trip to Europe as a college graduation gift, making memories that they all cherished.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 21st at 11:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Funeral services will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Chapel, 25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield Mi on Saturday, February 22nd at 11:30 AM.
