She was an accomplished artist during her entire lifetime. Among her works of art, she painted gorgeous portraits, wildlife and flowers using water colors, pastels and oils.
After she retired in 1988, Mary Ann spent the next 30 plus years as a Snowbird and enjoying life between Bellaire, Michigan and Bradenton, Florida. She was active in the Catholic Church, American Legion, Korean War Veterans and Lioness clubs in Michigan and Florida.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Gomolak, along with three husbands: Robert T. Maus, Leo H. Roberge Jr. and Carl R. Block.
She is survived by her daughter, Susanne Maus (Dave Mack), eight step-children, two grandchildren (Monica Scheel and Brad Mack), nine step-grandchildren and one great grandson (Dominic Scheel). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 955 Alton Rd, East Lansing, MI. Friends and relatives are invited to the church for visitation from 10:00am until the time of Mass. Lunch will follow at the church in Fr. Mac Hall.
At a future date, Mary Ann’s ashes will be interred in Kewadin, MI alongside her husband of 34 years, Robert T. Maus.
