Linda Rose Archer, of East Lansing, was born Linda Rose Thibodeau, in Detroit Michigan in 1948. She passed away on November 14, 2024. Lin was the beloved wife of Nick Archer, mother to Steve Archer of Maryland and Amy (Archer) Ide of Haslett; Mother-in-law to Nathan Ide and grandmother to Grace, Paige, and Brogan Ide of Haslett. She attended Allen Park High School and graduated from Michigan State University where she met her husband Nick. They married in 1970, and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Lin taught elementary school before devoting her time to raising her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Wanda Thibodeau, and in addition to her husband, children and grandchildren is survived by brother Thomas Thibodeau of Arizona, sister-in-law Hillary Thibodeau, niece Renee Coury and nephew Mark Thibodeau. Through her marriage she is survived by her sisters-in-law Mary, Peggy, and Julie; brothers-in-law John and Joe, and many nieces, nephews and their respective families.
Lin was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, loved to laugh, spend time with her dogs and attended more soccer games than your highest guess. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held for Lin on December 14th, 2024 from 10am - 12pm at Gorsline-Runciman East Lansing Chapel located at 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823.
