Kimberly A. Gaffney

Kimberly A. Gaffney was born on June 19, 1957 in East Lansing, the daughter of Robert and Dolores (Crouse) Foote, and passed away October 15, 2015 at the age of 58. Kim graduated from Haslett High School and attended Western Michigan University. She worked for the State of Michigan, UPS, MSU and the real estate industry. Kim was an accomplished pianist, gourmet cook, super seamstress along with quilting and crafting. Kim also loved to entertain. Kim was an avid Spartan fan too (Go Green!) She was a warm and caring friend to so many. Kim loved animals and was awaiting a new kitten that was to be ready for her home on November 1st. She also loved to travel and was partial to cruises. Kim had a full adventurous life, loved her family and the memorable gatherings. Kim’s very special girlfriends, the “Cupcake Club” added to her life with their humor and caring. She fought a valiant battle against the cancer that controlled her. God decided to end her suffering and take her under his comforting wings to everlasting peace. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Robert in 2007; grandparents Cappy and Camilla Crouse and Daniel and Letha Foote. Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Norm and son Ryan Patrick; mother, Dolores Foote of East Lansing; brother, David (Renata) Foote of Fishers, IN; sister, Kellie (Scott) Ashwood of East Lansing; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Gaffney of Grand Rapids and Jeannie (Burton) Matherly of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews along with many cousins. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. The family will receive friends from 6:00~8:00 pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 2:00~4:00 pm and 6:00~8:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman, East Lansing chapel. Family will also receive friends 1 hour prior to the mass at the church.
