Kevin made everything beautiful. He showed his love through his incredible cooking and baking, meticulous artistry in all endeavors, and immediate desire to help anyone at any time without any need to be recognized for it. He was brilliant, dapper, and hilarious, interested in everything and everyone. His intellectual curiosity was boundless and he never stopped learning and practicing, whether it was music, food, carpentry, gardening, and a million other things. A vegetarian of more than 50 years, there was nobody more kind and tender toward animals. He sustained long, meaningful friendships with schoolmates, fellow musicians, clients, and neighbors and was such an important person to so many that even those who didn't know him felt like they did. He had a keen eye for beauty in all things and a deep appreciation for life, even the difficult parts.
Kevin loved and was loved by many people in his life, most of all his wife of 42 years, Barbara Bruce. They were there for each other in the best times and the worst times and created a family who cannot imagine life without him. He will be missed and loved forever by siblings Kerry (Judy) and Karen, daughters Kate (Rick), Kady (Hardeep), Paris (Cameron) and grandchildren Nadia, Sophia, Francis, Neeve, Sylvie, Petra, Hugo and Pavlina. In Kevin's honor, make a dessert for someone, donate money to a cause that means something to you, or strike up a conversation with a stranger.
