Katherine Dexter (Payne) MacCarter was born in Pennsylvania on October 16, 1938. Her birth name was Ruth Marie MacCarter. Kathy was adopted by George & Marjorie Payne. Kathy passed away December 22, 2020 in Lansing Michigan with family by her side.
Kathy grew up in New Jersey, riding horses and playing sports. After marrying, the family moved to East Lansing, Michigan, where she raised her three children.
Surviving are her children, Kimberly White Ficke of Addison, TX, Kristine Lyn White of East Lansing, MI and Fred M. White Jr. and Rachel White of Oxford, MI; granddaughter, Rachel Katherine Ficke of Lewisville, TX; and step granddaughters, Kristen, Tiffany and Laci Ficke of Dallas, TX.
Kathy was and avid reader and enjoyed sports growing up and continued to enjoy watching all sports.
