Julia Irene Banister passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 18, 2018 at the Pine Valley Community Village in Richland Center, WI. She was 96 years old. Julia lived in Richland Center, WI with her son, Gary Banister and daughter-in-law, Rhonda.
Julia was originally from Lansing, MI. She was a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in chemistry and married her husband, Norwood, on November 28, 1953.
Julia is survived by her son, Gary (Rhonda) Banister and granddaughters, Michelle (Nicholas) Howe of Madison, WI, Sarah (Andy) Melius of Sutton’s Bay, MI and Lisa Banister of Grand Rapids, MI. Julia is also survived by three great grandchildren, Juniper Melius, Henry Howe and Louis Melius. Julia is preceded in death by her husband Norwood Banister Jr.
Graveside service at Glendale Cemetery, 2500 Mt. Hope Rd., Okemos, Michigan, Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.
