Lansing, Michigan
Age 84, passed away May 6, 2013. Born Joane Forton in Traverse City, MI, she married Ronald A. Clements on October 4, 1947. They were married for 65 years with Ron passing away this past January.
Joane and Ron led an active and happy life together. She was an accomplished seamstress, loved square dancing, hiked extensively and traveled with Ron throughout the United States. At family picnics Joane competed with children and grandchildren in volleyball, softball, or whatever activity the family was enjoying. She was an excellent cook best known for the wonderful Christmas morning breakfasts she prepared for the entire family. Most of all, she loved being with Ron and attending school and sporting activities involving her kids and grandkids.
For the last many years of her life Joane was stricken with Alzheimer’s disease, which she fought bravely and with great dignity. The compassionate care she received from Dimondale Nursing Care Center and Heartland Hospice eased the suffering of her final months.
