Dr. Scott was my family physician also, he was a great doctor, and always seemed to care about his patients, I was so sad to see him leave practice but happy for his retirement. To the Scott family, my deepest condolences....to Doctor Scott, Good bye sir, you will always be remembered.

To the Scott Family,
Dr Scott was all of our family's doctor for many years.  When I went to Medical Assisting school he allowed me to do my internship with him.  Dr Scott would often encourage me to do things I had not yet learned in school with his close supervision.  Dr. Scott made learning fun and interesting which is why I went to nursing school.  I have been a RN for 22 years, I have worked in many settings, cardiology has been my favorite, but I currently own Country Acres Adult Care Home in Eaton Rapids.  If he had not taken the time to encourage me I would not be where I am.  I saw Dr Scott at Sparrow a few years into practicing as a RN and he was so kind to talk to me for quite some time.  I loved his smile and humor and he will always hold a place in my heart.  We were fortunate to have him in our lives.  I will pray for you to be comforted by his loss. Thank you for sharing this wonderful man with so many of us.

A note of sympathy from old friends and neighbors when your family lived on Byrnes in Lansing.  We always remember Jim as a down to earth, outdoorsy guy, who loved his family and nature.  We no longer live in Lansing, but our Kathy is still there, and manages PICU at Sparrow.  Thinking of all of you with love and prayers as you deal with your loss, and cherish warm memories.

Dr Scott was one of my favorite physicians that I called on as a pharmaceutical representative at his East Lansing Family Practice. He always had something positive to share and took the time to talk with everyone who called on him - a practice that has long vanished. He was a remarkable physician who loved his patients and carried that love into his personal life. The world could use more Dr Scott's.
