Harold "Hal" John Schneider

Harold John Schneider, a devout Catholic and beloved father, peacefully passed away on June 28, 2023. Born on May 11, 1926, to Anna and John Schneider, Harold lived a life guided by an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

Harold served as a sergeant in the 879th Bomb Squadron of the Army Air Force from 1944 to 1946, displaying great courage and dedication to his country. He cherished his family and leaves behind his wife, Margaret; children Mary, John (Colleen), Gretchen, Josef, and Kristin (Greg); and grandchildren Haley (David), Carly, Joshua (Laura), and Jason (Monica), and his great-granddaughter Isabelle.

A funeral service will be held on August 18, 2023 at St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Okemos, MI, where friends and family will celebrate Harold's life and offer prayers for the repose of his soul. Visitation with family will begin at 10 am followed by a mass at 11 am.

Harold will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. A burial service will be held at 1:00 PM on May 13, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Vincent Catholic Charities (stvcc.org) in memory of Harold, a cause that was close to his heart during his lifetime.
