We are sad to announce the passing of Gary Lynn Dressel of Lansing, Michigan.
Gary died peacefully at the Sparrow Hospice House on June 21, 2023, at the age of 64. Gary was a life-long resident of Lansing where he worked at Michigan State University for 25 years prior to his retirement. Gary spent much of his time at his cottage at Higgins Lake, Michigan, which was his touchstone of peace and enjoyment. Gary is survived by his son, Jonathan Paul Dressel; a brother, John (Penny) Dressel of Florida and a sister, Marcia (Howard) Potter of Colorado. He was an uncle to Jody Boughton, Kristen Conway, and Brandon Potter. Gary loved to boat, fish and hunt and enjoy the company of his many friends and loved ones. Gary was the life of the party and will be remembered for his comedic humor, chatty telephone conversations, and many individual memories with each of us. Thank you to all who cared for and shared friendship with Gary.
