Frederick C. Mills

He resided in Owosso, Michigan from 1938 to 1964. Fred is a graduate of Owosso High School, the class of 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Fred was employed at the Owosso Post Office in the positions of carrier, clerk and supervisor during the period of 1947 to 1964. From 1964 until retirement in 1981, Fred was a U.S. Postal Inspector, serving territories with headquarter offices in Pikeville, KY, Lima, OH and Lansing, MI.

Fred married Norma Jean Buehler at Salem Lutheran Church in Owosso on September 17, 1949. Norma survives with daughter Dianne (David) Bodey of Grayling, MI and dear granddaughter Betsy Kulling of Cleveland, OH; son Fred of Higgins Lake, MI; son Tom (Joanie) of Williamston, MI; sister Betty Grover of Dallas, TX and Burt Lake, MI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was predeceased by brother Bill in 1999. He was a member of American Legion Post 57, of Owosso and Memorial Lutheran Church in Williamston, MI.

A memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Ingham County Medical Facility Rehab and Compassus Hospice for their kindness and care.
