Passed away February 2, 2015 at the age of 87. She was born March 28, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Harvey and Bertha (Jacobs) Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Brown (1966), son Donald, daughter-in-law Joy and brother Harvey.
Surviving are sons Dale (Carol) and Gary (Donna); daughter Debbie (Ron); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eleanor retired from MSU in 1989. She loved her dogs, was a gracious host to all who visited, “Eleanor’s kitchen was always open” and enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015, 12:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends Friday, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
